B Ed ADMISSIONS 2024-2025

ADMISSION TO B.Ed PROGRAMME

The admission to 2 year B.Ed.Programme is conducted by the University through the centralisedallotment process. (CAP)

1. Eligibility for admission, norms for admission, reservation of seats for B.Ed. Degree Programme shall be according to the rules framed by the university and NCTE from time to time.

2. The strength of the college is fixed at 50 students per year and a total of 100 for two years.

3. No student shall be admitted unless he / she pays the fee as per rules and produce all the certificates of qualification mentioned below:

  • Transfer certificate from the college last attended
  • S.S.L.C.
  • Degree certificate & Mark list
  • Course & conduct certificate
  • Migration certificate (in case of graduates from other universities)
  • Community certificate in respect of backward class students
  • Eligibility and recognition certificate from students who graduate from universities outside Kerala.

FEES

  • Every student shall on admission pay the full amount of fees including special fees and caution deposit.
  • Receipts signed by the accountant will be issued on the realisation of all kinds of fees, fines and other dues
  • Students belonging to SC / ST are exempted from paying the caution deposit
  • Fee Concession : Students belonging to SC /ST /OBC can avail fee concession if they produce caste & income certificate at the beginning of the course and apply in the prescribed form. Students belonging to OBC. are eligible for fee concession only if their annual income comes in the prescribed limit as per the Government norms

MGU ONLINE REGISTRATION

All admission procedure is through Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) of Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam
Please read the following instructions carefully before filling out the application form

Instructions to Candidates for On-line Registration of Options

  1. Click on the "Account creation" link provided on the www.cap.mgu.ac.in web page.
  2. Fill in the minimum personal details required with utmost care.
  3. Only one account can be created using a single mobile number and email id. All communications like application number and password shall be sent to the registered mobile number and hence candidates should take utmost care while giving mobile number.
  4. Create a 'Password'. (The password will be used for all future online operations). The password created by the candidate should not be disclosed to others who may misuse it. This may result in tampering with the options and the University will not be responsible for any such eventuality.
  5. After the successful creation of account, you will be provided an eight-digit application number starting with 24. The application number will have to be retained by the candidate for all future online and offline operations.
  6. Fill in the application form with personal details, academic eligibility and the options correctly. The applicant can give up to forty options.
  7. After satisfying him/her that the details entered are correct, the applicants shall remit the application fee online.
  8. Pay the application fee by clicking on the "PAY NOW" button which will redirect the applicant to the Online Payment Gateway. Applicant can use Debit Card/ Credit Card or Internet Banking facility for making online payment.
  9. After remitting the fee, the applicant will be redirected back to the application page.
  10. Upload the photo, signature, and digital copies of the supporting documents.
  11. Take the printout of the confirmation page which will have to be retained by the candidate for future reference.

Procedure for Applying to Sports Quota Seats

  1. After the final submission of application to merit quota seats, candidates who wish to apply for sports quota seats may choose the option corresponding to sports quota.
  2. In the case of sports quota, select the sports event applicable to the candidate and details corresponding to the category.
  3. Upload the digital copy of the relevant document.
  4. Register options.
  5. Submit the application.

Procedure for Applying to PD Quota Seats

  1. After the final submission of application to PD quota seats, candidates who wish to apply for PD quota seats may choose the option corresponding to PD quota.
  2. In the case of PD quota, select the disability category applicable to the candidate and details corresponding to the category. Please note that only Blind, Deaf, and Orthopedically Disabled candidates are eligible to apply to B Ed programmes.
  3. Upload the digital copy of the disability Certificate.
  4. Register options.
  5. Submit the application.

Procedure for Applying to Community Merit Quota Seats

  1. After the final submission of application to Community Merit quota seats, candidates who wish to apply for Community Merit quota seats may choose the option corresponding to Community Merit quota.
  2. In the case of Community Merit quota, select the community applicable to the candidate. Please note that community merit seats are available in aided colleges alone.
  3. Upload the digital copy of the community certificate issued by the competent revenue officer.
  4. Register options.
  5. Submit the application.

Note: Hardcopies of the filled in application shall not be, repeat, shall not be sent to the University.

Admission Procedure for M.Ed. Programme

ADMISSION TO M.Ed. PROGRAMME (2024 - 2026)

The admission to 2 year M.Ed.Programme is conducted by the University through the centralised allotment process. (CAP)

1. Eligibility for admission, norms for admission, reservation of seats for M.Ed. Degree Programme shall be according to the rules framed by the university and NCTE from time to time.

2. The strength of the college is fixed at 50 students per year and total of 100 for two years.
