Alumni Association of the Institution plays a vital role in its holistic development and contributes significantly in all
its activities. The Alumni involves in both curricular and co-curricular endeavors. Their expertise and experience are
shared among all the significant events beginning from induction and orientation programmes for B.Ed and M.Ed
students. It provide academic and professional development guidance and renders help in extension activities
imbibing the vision and mission of the institution. The annual alumni meet is held every year on the second Saturday
of January, which is a spectacular event when the members from different batches gather together to share their
experiences and express the concerns for their Alma mater. Alumni offer their productive and creative suggestions
for institutional development in the meetings. The heads and teachers of various schools are Alumni members, who
can commendably guide the teacher trainees during internship. The Alumni includes outstanding achievers including
award winners, thereby serving as models of professionalism for the upcoming teachers.
The major interventions of the Alumni include the following:
- Active participation in induction and orientation program for new B.Ed and M.Ed batches.
- Holistic assistance and association for whole academic and co-curricular events.
- Honoring the highest scorers in university exam with endowments.
- Organize and actively participate in seminars and other activities like sports day, celebrations,
commemoration of days, annual day, etc.
- Honors the students, teachers and the alumni members who have made notable accomplishments
during every academic year.
- Contributes towards development of the college by offering all forms of support services to the
institution.
- Serve the college as resource persons in scholastic and co-scholastic activities.
- Extend help by providing demonstration classes to the trainees.
- Organizes instructional sessions of experts from SCERT curriculum committee showcasing the
prevailing pedagogic environment at schools before practice teaching.
- Shares experiences during pre and post-practice teaching to polish the B.Ed and M.Ed students'
pedagogic skills useful for their teaching competency sessions in schools.
- Play a vital role in the celebration of Teachers' Day every year.
- Provide industrial support and familiarization including placement related information in the field of
teaching.
- Serve as mentors providing professional guidance in self-study, higher studies and employment.
- Their expertise is taken as inspiration to the teacher trainees for excelling in the field of teaching.
Alumni who are heads in various Practice teaching schools act as mentors for trainees, orient them about changes in
the education system, school administration and evaluation system. They give demo lessons to the trainee teachers,
continuously monitor and supervise all internship programmes. Alumni function as supervisors during micro
teaching and judging various events. Alumni members were called to supervise micro teaching when teachers
(method teachers) are on leave. They provide valuable feedback to trainees and guide them in teaching skills.
